MCU Films Ranked

Today I saw The Founder for a second time (such a brilliant film) and I thought to myself in the empty Everyman Cinema in Hampstead, I need some Marvel in my films. I’ve missed Marvel. 2016 was a good year for Marvel with the exceptional Captain America: Civil War (Avengers 2.5) and the marvellous Doctor Strange. 2017 holds three films for Marvel, the Guardian’s Of The Galaxy sequel, the long-awaited Spider-Man film and the third and quite possibly the final Thor film. In this article I rank the 14 Marvel Films.

14. The Incredible Hulk

The Incredible Hulk was the second film in the MCU after Iron Man. With the critics, it was mediocre and in the Box Office it wasn’t much of a success.

13. Iron Man 2

The second instalment of the Iron Man franchise may of made more in the Box Office but just wasn’t exciting. The only upside of this film was the first showing of the Black Widow.

12. Captain America: The First Avenger

Whilst it was a pretty good film and it’s impossible to make it perfect first time, there was something quite tacky about the first Cap film.

11. Iron Man

It was a brilliant introduction into the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the character of Iron Man is now perfected after 8 years.

10. Thor: The Dark World

The sequel to Thor was not as good as the first one, but still a decent film.

9. Ant-Man

A humorous entrance by Ant-Man into the MCU, bringing a different side of the Avengers into light.

8. Doctor Strange

This really was a different side to the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the superb Benedict Cumberbatch playing Doctor Strange.

7. Thor

An exciting entrance of the God of Thunder in New Mexico. My personal favourite film in Phase 1.

6. Captain America: The Winter Soldier

An amazing film with the fall of SHIELD and the introduction of The Winter Soldier.

5. Avengers: Age of Ultron

Whilst it was a good film with more of my favourite characters (Scarlet Witch & Hawkeye), it wasn’t as good as the first Avengers film.

4. Iron Man 3

The best of the Iron Man films and took an amazing $1.215BN.

3. Guardian’s Of The Galaxy

This was the other side of the Universe (literally) and it was so funny!

2. Captain America: Civil War

This was an amazing film. United We Stand, Divided We Fall. Come on Team Cap!

1. The Avengers

This just was brilliant. End of Case. Time for a cup of tea and to watch it again because i mentioned it!
