22nd Screen Actors Guild Awards

eddie-redmayne-getty-mainThe may only be six awards for Films at the 22nd Screen Actors Guild Awards and mainly it is an television awards but it’s still a good place to win an award for either Film or Television.

Best Actor

Bryan Cranston – Trumbo

Johnny Depp – Black Mass

Michael Fassbender – Steve Jobs

Eddie Redmayne – The Danish Girl

Leonardo DiCaprio – The Revenant

As much as we think The Revenant is the favourite, we think that Eddie Redmayne did such a great performance in The Danish Girl we think that he will win:

Eddie Redmayne

Best Actress:

Cate Blanchett – Carol

Brie Larson – Room

Helen Mirren – Women In Gold

Saoirse Ronan – Brooklyn

Sarah Silverman – I Smile Back

I’m slightly surprised to not see Amy Schumer or Jennifer Lawrence up their for their peformances in Joy and Trainwreck. We think it will be between Brie Larson and Cate Blanchett:

Brie Larson

Best Supporting Actor:

Christian Bale – The Big Short

Idris Elba – Beast Of No Nation

Mark Rylance – Bridge Of Spies

Michael Shannon – 99 Holmes

Jacob Tremblay – Room

I not sure why Christian Bale is in the Supporting Actor category rather than the Best Actor category. Bale I think has the best chance:

Christian Bale

Rooney Mara – Carol

Helen Mirren – Trumbo
